No Matter Your Emergency, We’re Here When You Need Us
We treat dental emergencies with the care and urgency you deserve, from broken teeth to severe toothaches. No matter your issue, we’re here to help you recover as quickly and smoothly as possible. To help us ensure better outcomes for our patients, please review the first-aid treatments below for common dental emergencies and call us as soon as possible for emergency treatment.
For Broken, Cracked Teeth
Try to save any pieces of your tooth and call us immediately. In the meantime, rinse your mouth with warm, salty water and apply gauze to the area. Bite down on the gauze for about 10 minutes to slow any bleeding. Apply a cold compress to your jaw to relieve pain and swelling.

For Tooth Loss
If your tooth has been knocked out, save the tooth and do not delay in calling us for an emergency appointment. We have the best chance of restoring your tooth within one hour. In the meantime, rinse your mouth with cold water, place your tooth back in the socket, and hold it there. If it can’t be placed, keep it in water or milk. The tooth must be kept wet at all times.
For Severe Toothache
Because toothaches have a variety of potential causes, we advise you to thoroughly rinse your mouth, floss around the affected tooth, and call us. In the meantime, do not apply aspirin to your gums, as this can cause pain and chemical burns.
For Foreign Objects Between Teeth
If a foreign object becomes lodged between your teeth, use dental floss to gently dislodge the obstruction. If you’re unable to remove it, or doing so causes severe pain, call our office. Do not attempt to force the object out, as this can cause injury.
